Finally the weather is starting to look up and it's beginning to feel like summer! The sun is shining, the grass is green and the horses have finally shed out!

This weekend was beautiful. We had our Team Penning show, put on by my mom and I and a couple of friends of ours. It was very successful. We had a lot of sponsorship, and awesome prizes. I won the 7 class ($302 and a wool saddle blanket), placed 3rd in the sort ($115), and won a fast time in the 10 Class (27 seconds - $50). My entries cost me $615 and I made enough to cover most of it, only owing $148, which is not too bad.

I was very happy with Bubba, he worked really hard and did so well. He wasn't stiff afterwards like he usually is, so the glucosamine we have been feeding with his grain has really helped. He used to go lame after a show, but he seems to be doing well now! I'm really happy about that, now I don't have to buy another horse.

On another topic..we should be moving soon! We've been renting for about 4 months and the people we bought our farm from are just about ready to move out. Once they are out we can start renovating. I'm really excited because I will have the entire basement to myself. It already has a bathroom and a stove, sink, fridge..everything a basement suite has. I just need to paint it and redo the flooring. My mom and dad want to do the floor upstairs too, and once its all done then we can move in and start building our arena. It's all very exciting!
